The hockey stick only consists of three components, so reassembly or disassembly quickly means buying a new one. An option then for sticks that can not be used any longer due to wear age could be upcycling. Upcycling means reusing a product in such a way that high quality of value can be achieved then the primer product. Hockey sticks can not be used anymore, so using them for another purpose would be an added value.

Reusing could be done in several different products, products that can be used for field hockey purposes or completely different purposes, like a rake. Several photos of upcycled ice hockey sticks are shown beneath.
